Gottex, the iconic swimwear brand, was established in 1956 and since it’s birth, has always been associated with Quality, Fashionable and Glamorous après wear.
Since it’s creation Gottex has been, and still remains, the key brand on retailer’s vendor matrixes. It is showcased in New York as part of New York Fashion Week, for the Spring/Summer Collections, where it is seen as a fashion leader in the Swimwear Business.
Since June 2009 Gottex has enjoyed new acclaim and a new generation of followers and critics, after ‘Head of Design’ Molly Grad joined the company.
After graduating from the prestigious design school Central Saint Martins in 2001 with a distinction in Womenswear – for which she won the L’Oreal award for Best Collection at Graduating Show, Molly has embarked on an incredible career assisting some of the best international designers within the Industry.
After successfully completing her BA degree Molly spent nearly 4 years assisting Stella McCartney as a key member of both the design ethos, and the production process.
Post this insightful period, Molly then returned to Central Saint Martins to complete her MA in Women’s Wear. It was during her MA that Molly was awarded 1st prize in the Prestigious Chloe Award by Creative director Phoebe Philo, and esteemed London fashion Critic and writer Hilary Alexander.
After graduating with her MA, with yet another Distinction, Molly moved straight into the position of Senior Consultant for YSL. She worked directly alongside Stefano Pilati: Creative Director of the international Fashion Power-House in Paris, a position she fulfilled until she was hired as senior designer at Gianfranco Ferre in Milan.
As well as coveted awards for her designs, Molly has also received great acclaim, and awards for her illustrative skills, including both the Colin Barnes and Nina De Yorke award.
